Organic Wheat Free Rolled Oats

Organic wheat free rolled oats are sustainably grown and 100% pure organic, wholegrain rolled oats.  These organic wheat free rolled oats are full of flavour and provide a natural source of protein and fibre, a perfect way to start your day!  Organic wheat free rolled oats are widely recognised for their nutritional and health benefits.  These nutritional organic wheat free rolled oats are a traditional porridge, a must-have in the pantry to include in your Anzac biscuits, in your muesli and other baked goods.  These Organic Wheat Free Oats are oats that have been grown and processed in a dedicated mill to ensure the entire production chain remains free of contamination from gluten found in wheat, rye and barley. They have been batch tested for the gluten found in wheat, rye and barley and this was not detected within the limits of the test (<5ppm gluten).

What does Wheat Free or Gluten Tested Oats mean?
The national food safety standard in Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) prohibits the use of a ‘gluten-free’ claim on oats and oat-containing products. In other parts of the world you are able to call oats ‘gluten-free’ if they are not contaminated with the gluten found in wheat, rye and barley but not here in Australia. We are able to call these ‘wheat-free’ so we will use this terminology.  ‘Gluten tested oats’ just means that the oats have been batch tested for the gluten found in wheat, rye and barley and this was not detected within the limits of the test (<5ppm gluten).

Studies show that pure (uncontaminated) oats are well tolerated by most people with coeliac disease. However, in some people with coeliac disease consuming oats or oat products can result in a potentially harmful immune response. If you have coeliac disease, you should seek medical advice before consuming oats and oat products and only do so if it is deemed safe for you. If you do not have a gluten allergy but are looking to minimise gluten in your diet, then these wheat free oats will suit.

Allergens:   Contains Oats.   Packed in a facility that packs nuts, seeds, cereals and other products, and may contain traces of other allergens.

Storage: Shelf life from the date of manufacture is 9 months. Please note the Best Before date.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In warmer climates, refrigeration is recommended.
